Covid-19 Pandemic - some resources to support you
Like many other organisations, ICF is seeking to play what part we can in supporting people through the current
Coronavirus Pandemic. On this page we will seek to bring together various resources that you may find helpful in looking
after your own wellbeing, and supporting others through these troubling times. Some of these resources have been produced
in partnership with the North Western Baptist Association and FaithSpace.
Working it Through
This series of readings for Holy Week was first published some years in booklet form, specifically designed for people who are at work
during Holy Week. It seeks to look at the events in the final week of Jesus' earthly life through the eyes of working people in the Gospel
stories. Although current circumstances might be quite different, we have made this available in download pdf form for anyone who might
find it useful. Click here to dowload a copy.
The Lord's Prayer
There will be those in your workplace community who are particularly concerned for themselves and loved ones -
some perhaps even facing hospitalisation or bereavement. Because of isolation, many of the traditional channels of support
will not be open to people - so this is a time to particularly reach out and care for those you work with. If you are
currently working from home, or prevented from working, take some time to email, skype or ring round colleagues to check
that people are OK. This you tube video is designed for you to share with someone who is perhaps not used to religious
routine but perhaps seeking something of God's presence and comfort at this difficult time. You can use the 'share' option on
You-Tube to send it to someone who might appreciate it.
2 Minutes to remember
This is another short video that you might like to send to friends or colleagues who are struggling in the present circumstances. The scale
of infection and death is such that people easily become reduced to statistics and cases. For those who loved them, this can be particularly hard.
This video offers a short invitation to take 2 minutes each day to pause and recognise that behind all the news stories and statistics are real
people with real stories. Again, you can use the share facility on YouTube to send it to those who might find it helpful.
A Prayer
This prayer is offered for use if you are leading any form of service or online gathering for prayer in the current situation. It may also be
useful for chaplains and others who will still be visiting workplaces of key workers. Click here to
find it.
Please note - all of these resources are offered on a Creative Commons open licence basis. You are free to download and use them
for any non-profitmaking purpose. If it is reasonably possible, please attribute them to icf-faith on Monday Morning, but if this is
not appropriate, please use them anyway
